PRIVACY

Short version: no account required, no tracking cookies, and signing in is optional and stores only your streak.

In your browser

Your streak, your record and today's progress are stored in your browser's local storage. If you never sign in, they never leave your browser, and clearing your browser data deletes them permanently.

Signing in (optional)

If you choose to sign in with Google, we store your Google account identifier, your email address, your name, your game record (streaks, wins, played counts), your match history, and your ranking points, so your streak can follow you across devices. If you appear in the public World Ranking (on by default, opt out in your profile), only your display name and points are shown, never your email. Signing in sets one strictly necessary session cookie so we know it is you. We use this for nothing else. You can download or delete everything from your profile page at any time.

Counting plays

We count how many people played each day and how many solved it, so the numbers we show are real. To avoid counting one person several times, we store a salted SHA-256 hash of your IP address for the current day only. We do not store your IP address itself, the hash cannot be reversed to it, the salt is secret, and the hashes are discarded when the day rolls over. This is used for nothing else.

Server logs

Like almost every website, our web server writes standard access logs which include IP addresses, for security and debugging. These are not linked to your gameplay.

Analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that we host ourselves, to see how many people play and which games are popular. It sets no cookies, records no personal data, does not follow you across other sites, and respects your browser's Do Not Track setting. We set no advertising cookies and run no ad or cross-site tracking networks. The only cookie we ever set is the session cookie when you sign in. We do not sell or share anything. If that ever changes, this page changes first.

Your rights and contact

If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you rights over personal data about you: access, correction, and deletion. For sign-in data, deletion means your account and record are erased. Mail contact@olafmaliszewski.pl.
